After breakfast, depart for the imperial city of Fez. The afternoon program includes a guided tour to explore Fez, the historic medina (old city) and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include a visit to the Bou Inania Madrasa via Bab Boujloud, the main entrance to the medina,and demonstrations of traditional leather tanning and Moroccan pottery making. Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional riad in Fez.
Depart from Fes for a journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains. The route includes a stop in Ifrane, renowned for its Alpine architecture and cedar forests home to diverse wildlife. We continue our journey through the Ziz Valley, featuring stunning desert oases, before arriving in Merzouga. In the late afternoon, enjoy a guided camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes to witness the sunset. Dinner and overnight stay in a luxurious desert camp, complete with traditional music and stargazing.
Wake early to watch the magical sunrise over the dunes before returning by camel for breakfast and a shower. Continue your journey through the palm-lined valleys of Touroug and Tinjdad to reach the dramatic Todra Gorge, where towering limestone cliffs frame a narrow canyon. After exploring the gorge, travel onward to the peaceful Skoura Oasis, known for its palm groves and historic kasbahs. Dinner and overnight in a charming kasbah or boutique hotel.
After breakfast, travel through the Valley of Roses and oasis landscapes to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Sahara and a major film-making location. Visit the famous cinema studios before continuing to the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most iconic fortified villages. After exploring the kasbah, cross the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains en route to Marrakech. Arrival in the evening. Dinner and overnight in a riad or hotel in Marrakech.
In the morning, enjoy a private guided tour of Marrakech. The itinerary includes the historic souks, the Bahia Palace, and the exterior of the Koutoubia Mosque. After lunch, transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport for your international flight, concluding the program.
