Morning (Tangier): Guided tour exploring Tangier's Sephardic heritage (the "Shair Raphael" Synagogue and the Jewish Quarter), highlighting the colonial and Andalusian architecture of the Kasbah and the Medina. Head to Tetouan (the Dove of the North and the Granada of Morocco): Visit the historic Mellah (Jewish quarter) and the Rabbi Isaac Bengualed Synagogue. Explore the old city of Tetouan (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the most prominent living example of an Andalusian city in Morocco, where Andalusian migrants built its quarters after the fall of Granada (1492). Discover Andalusian-Rif architecture: blue alleyways, houses with sloping red-tiled roofs, and walls and architectural details that symbolize protection and paradise in Sephardic and Andalusian thought.
