After breakfast, we descend into the narrow, 300-meter-high limestone walls of the Todra Gorges, a natural cathedral of stone. Our Sahara desert tour then ventures into the Tafilalet region, passing the 7th-century ruins of Sijilmassa, the ancient cradle of dynasties. Then, the moment you've been waiting for: the horizon transforms. We reach the edge of the great dunes, where your Merzouga camel trekking experience begins. Settle onto your caravan as the sun begins its descent. As night falls, you won't just see the stars, you'll feel them. Your home for the night is a Sahara luxury camp, where a gourmet Berber dinner and traditional music await under the silent desert sky.

Day 03

The desert has one last secret to share. We wake you before dawn to witness the magical Sahara sunrise, where the first light reveals the "changing contrasts" of the sand. Following a traditional breakfast, we begin our Morocco Sahara camel trek back to our vehicle. Our return journey is a masterclass in Moroccan geography. We wind through the Draa Valley, home to the country's longest river and lush palm groves that stretch for miles. After a final look at the rugged beauty of Agdz and Ouarzazate, we cross the Atlas once more.
